POLISH SINGAPORE

Photograps 2010

Due to its location and historical influence, Singapore, without any despute, is the leading Asian tiger. It is a small island (50 km in length and 27 km in width) at the Southern tip of Malaysian peninsula, which stands out among other South East Asian countries. The city is a mixture of modern technologies, skyscrapers, colonial buildings and countless shopping centres. Likewise in all developed countries consumerism is a part of daily life of those who permanently inhabit Singapore. Its citizens are people of all nationalities and religions, predominantly Chinese, Malay and Indians. Although it is a melting pot of different people deriving from different nations, they appear to me as people of integrity. Unlike other Asian countries, they keep their tiny state clean, for example, selling and using chewing gum is prohibited by law.
As for their natural world, I was impressed, that on such small size and heavily populated island, they established a few National Parks and nature reserves, that indeed serve as the refuge for wildlife.
