Photograps
February 2008
Birds are very interesting creatures but to photograph them successfully and well, requires plenty of patience and determination. I decided to expand my photography by taking pictures of our avian neighbours. I am not interested in photographing birds in captivity for understandable reasons but only those that are free from our human enslavement. Personally I think, there is no other group of wildlife enthusiasts that gathers so many people as bird-watching fans. I am sure, that sometimes each of us pauses for a second to look at and admire it for their colorful plumage, beautiful song or distinctive flight. The observation of them can bring a lot of joy and peace. They are in our lives and legends and we need to respect them and give them space so they can thrive.
Presently we know about 10 000 species of birds around the globe. For the last couple of thousands of years, human activity eradicated from the surface of the earth nearly 2000 known species and many more are dangling at the verge of extinction. It is our moral responsibility to stop the senseless and hideous destruction of birds and the entire natural world.
