Bike TOUR AROUND EUROPE 1997

"Tour around Europe", precisely around Western Europe and through capitals of 13 countries I crossed. This was my idea and plan to see the Western Europe, which untill 1989 had been behind the inaccessble Iron Curtain. In some sense, it was still in my inaccessble zone due to the affordability, considering the big gap between earnings and prices separating the west and east Europe. To make it viable, I decided to utilise the power of my muscles, sleep out under canvas and eat whatever I could cook on my gas stove (providing it was vegetarian). It was my first and important travel from many points of view. Six months bike tour was a new challenge for somebody, who so far had experieced excursions lasting about 2 weeks. Apart the duration, it was challenging because I had to face it on my own.
