PANAMA 2019




Panama opened its tax free paradise for companies from around the world and the capital swiftly turns to a giant metropolis, where banks and offices clear the way to build more and more skyscrapers. Another great revenue for Panama is the Panama canal, which in 1999 has been handed over to Panama from USA after a 100 years of military and economic rules.

Panama city. I am always amazed when I see these tangles of electric cables hanging from the posts in those rich and prosperous cities.

Although Panama city is changing to huge metropolis there are a few colonial quarters or historical buildings.

Panama lies on the Caribbean sea that can generate a lot of abrupt rain. It can turn streets into torrents.

This man awaits the rain water to subside, so he can use the pavement.

Many people in the countryside posses a horse. In the Bajo Boquete town there is for over a century a festive horse parade. It is an occasion for locals to demonstrate their horses and meet together for a booze.

I was intrigued and touched by the sign which exceeded our anthropocentric understanding of road accidents.
